Are you ready for some old fashioned summer fun? Let’s dive into the past with America’s favorite pastime! Of course, I’m talking about baseball! Grab your crackerjacks and celebrate baseball history live and in person!
Saturday June 11e from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can step back in time to watch the two Howell Farm teams play by the rules of 19th century Town Ball! They’ll be in old school uniforms and everything.
Visitors of all ages are invited to take over as “Striker” and take on the “Thrower”. The referee will look very different from what we are used to, he will sit on a chair on the field and charge fines of up to 5 cents every time you break a rule! Not aware of your 19th century baseball rules? Well, that’s what Google was created for!
Then at 11:00 a.m. you can see the Flemington Neshanocks take on the Elizabeth Resolutes in a historic baseball club game!
If you or your family are a baseball fan, you might want to tell them you’re going to a game and not give them the details. Just look at their faces as you head over to baseball from years past. You can also join Howell Farm’s Hogs and Bulls for a public game on the farm lawn. Anyone else up for a hot dog? Ahhhh… summer!
