Paducah Chiefs Baseball Club needs foster families for 7th season


PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) – The Paducah Chiefs Baseball Club is looking for foster families.

the The 2022 season starts on Thursday, June 2 at home against Fulton. Currently, they say that several players need foster homes.

“Being a foster family for one of these incredible players is one of the best experiences I’ve had,” general manager Greg McKeel said in a press release. “Host families provide much-needed stability and support for these young players coming to Paducah to play for the Chiefs. Even if it’s only for two months, I’ve seen host families and players develop relationships that last for years. They really are members of the extended family.

The team plays at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Kentucky until the end of July.

Season tickets are available for $200. It includes all home games and home playoff games. General admission seats are also available at the door on game days for $5 per game or $10 per game for a seat with backrest.

According to a club statement, the Chiefs’ history dates back to 1903, but it was brought back to life in 2016 as part of the Ohio Valley League. It is overseen by the Brooks Stadium Commission.
