NEW BUSINESS — Northern Bedford’s Reece Musselman and Eion Snider combined a one-hit shutout in a 10-0 5-inning win over Forbes Road on Friday.

The Black Panthers had 12 hits in the game, including two from Reyan Imler, Brooks Snider, Musselman and Eion Snider. Musselman and Eion Snider each had three RBIs.

New Brunswick pitchers had 12 strikeouts.

Northern hosted a doubleheader with Southern Huntingdon on Monday.

EVERETT — Everett’s Trenten Mellott threw a four-hit shutout and the Warriors scored in every inning in a 7-0 non-league win over Bedford on Friday.

Mellott struck out 12 and didn’t walk a batter in the win.

Karson Reffner and Jadin Zinn each had two hits for the Warriors. Zinn and Calvin Iseminger also had two RBIs. Zinn had a double and a triple, while Iseminger had a solo home run.

Joey Huxta had two hits for Bedford.

Everett was at Tussey Mountain on Monday and will be at Southern Huntingdon on Wednesday. Bedford is at Bishop Carroll on Tuesday.

Bishop Guilfoyle picked up a 6-5 road win over Bedford on Saturday.

The Marauders had 10 hits and had singles in the sixth and seventh innings to break a 4-4 tie.

Matt Semanek had three hits and three RBIs for the Bisons, while Mercury Swaim had two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Quincy Swaim also had two hits.

Bedford is at Bishop Carroll on Tuesday.

Chestnut Ridge’s Matt Whysong scored a run in the top of the first and Nate Whysong had the lone hit for the Lions. Matt Whysong also had three stolen bases.

Central scored three runs in the first, second and third innings, using nine hits and seven walks in the game.

Chestnut Ridge hosted Somerset on Monday and is at Penn Cambria on Tuesday.

SAXTON — Everett’s Trenten Mellott scored the kickoff in the top of the seventh inning to lift the Warriors past Tussey Mountain, 6-5, on Monday.

Everett had a 5-2 lead going into the fifth inning, but Tussey scored two in the fifth and one in the sixth to tie the game going into the seventh inning.

Mellott and Sid Grove each had two hits for Everett, while Mellott scored two runs.

Tussey Mountain’s Landon Myers had two hits, while Connor Jones scored two runs. Ben Kormanski hit a home run for the Titans.

Everett is at Southern Huntingdon on Wednesday, while Tussey hosts Forbes Road on Wednesday.
