Baseball teams JSerra, Estancia and Tesoro will try to add another title to their highlights of the season at the CIF Southern California Regional Championships which begin on Tuesday.
JSerra, the CIF South Section Division 1 champion, plays at home Tuesday against El Cajon’s Granite Hills in the first round of the Division I playoffs.
CIF-SS Division 4 champion Tesoro is at home Tuesday against San Diego’s Mission Bay in the Division IV first round.
CIF-SS Division 6 champion Estancia is at home against Los Angeles’ Mendez in the Division V first round.
JSerra, Estancia and Tesoro are the top seeds in their divisions, guaranteeing them home games for the duration of the regional playoffs.
JSerra won the Division I championship last year. Granite Hills was Division III champion last year.
Teams that qualified for the semi-finals of the CIF-SS Division 1-3 playoffs qualified for the regional playoffs. Finalists from CIF-SS Divisions 4-6 also qualified.
CIF-SS Division 1 semi-finalists Huntington Beach and Villa Park compete in the Division I playoffs. CIF-SS Division 3 semi-finalists Newport Harbor compete in the Division play-offs III.
CIF-SS Division 4 runner-up Fullerton and CIF-SS Division 6 runner-up Anaheim also compete in the regional playoffs.
All first-round regional games are Tuesday at 4 p.m. The tournament continues with the semi-finals Thursday at 4 p.m. and concludes with the finals Saturday at 4 p.m.
The highest ranked team is the home team through all three rounds of the playoffs.
Spectator admission for the first two rounds is $9 for adults and $5 for students and children. This goes to $12 and $8 for the final.

Section III: Sierra/Riverside (22-11) at Eastlake/Chula Vista (21-10); Port of Newport (19-12) to El Camino Real/Woodland Hills (18-12); Grossmont (15-18-1) at La Quinta/La Quinta (25-7); Francis Parker (26-6) at Oaks Christian (21-11).
Section IV: Mission Bay/San Diego (22-10) at Tesoro (26-8); Moreno Valley (27-4) against Garfield (23-9) at East Los Angeles College; Bakersfield (11-18-3) against Burroughs/Burbank (22-10) at Stengel Field/Glendale; Mars Vista (23-11) at Fullerton (24-9).
Section V: Mendez/Los Angeles (15-6) at Estancia (28-5); Legacy (20-11) to Kennedy (21-7); Palo Verde Valley/Blythe (11-21) to Baldwin Park (20-11); Hueneme (17-10) at Anaheim (21-10-1).
